WOYWW #351

Welcome to WOYWW…the “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday”  blog hop created by Julia at the StampingGround,  so hop over there to join the fun.

OK, desk looks a mess; but it really isn’t; just some of the stuff I will have to pack up tonight for tomorrow’s stamp club meeting.  And really; how could I ever have justified getting all the distress inks in those cute little tins if I didn’t have to cart them to a meeting at least once a month?

This past weekend I got to play with my new Gelato’s, and while waiting for them to dry, my new Color Burst pigments…like Brusho’s;  so the 2 feathers and the strips are what you see from that bit of messy fun.  I think they will go into a journal page…the strips my get cut up in a TH Framelit die to use the cut out parts…In the back are my watercolor practice pieces; not sure what to do with them yet…so there they sit.  And then a few other ink pads, DI paints, stamps and dies that need to get put away.

Here is the Journal pages with the Gelatos…while I’ve had no luck smooshing them into a stencil, did you know you could shave a bit off and blend it with molding paste??  And even though it looked really med. Gray on the sheet, it dried very black!  I just used that on the right corners; as I just didn’t make enough, but maybe once I do the journaling part, I may add some more.

So there is my desk area for the week.  Now go visit Julia’s and see what the rest of the Desker’s are up to!  Have a great week everyone!

  3. HI Kim, isn't it great when you discover a way to do something different? Love the feathers cut from the Colour Bursts, I have some Brusho sheets I may try that on. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #12 xx

  4. Darned TH and Ranger -- I've got a good majority of the inks in full size and now I want the minis because they would take up so much less space. :)

I really like how you framed the lovely colors with the black edges and the embellishment/texture. I made a card by smooshing gelatos through a stencil, but I feel like a lot of the gelatos end up left on the stencil. (I probably sprayed it with water and tried to smoosh it onto something to use it . . .) Happy WOYWW from chatty Laura #60

  6. Oh yes, I like those ink pads in the tin, so very satisfying! I can see why you like keeping them in there. And your journal pages are bright and breezy, really cheerful!!
Hope you are well and happy,
    Hugs, LLJ 13 xx

  7. I applaud your logic over the ink pads, really. I love the gelato'd pages...my word itnwasnasnwell that you didn't do the flourishes all over the page as the faded to black! The page would have been lovely, but not obviously useful in the journal dept!
