CC3C #4: Pg: 49 Layering Stencil: Texture Paste

Texture paste is pretty cool stuff! I had bought the Golden Modeling Paste for a project to make a texture plate for Gelli plate printing. (Then I had to break my addiction to Gelli plate printing because I kept running out of paper. But I can handle it now; so the project is on my near future to-do list.)

Bumpy Detail

Now, Tim didn't specify a type; and (you've heard this before) I would have sworn I had some of the gold Dreamweaver Texture paste—stored upside down like the lady said to prevent drying…but I couldn't find it..so the Golden one it was.  How very fun!  I know you can colorize the stuff; but I didn't  do that; after it was dry I place the stencil back over and colored with Salty Ocean Distress Stain…it was so fun I also did a birthday card, which I can’t show as it hasn't arrived yet!  This also gave me the perfect opportunity to use my new Sea and Sand Die. The saying is from Our Daily Bread.

While I don’t think this will be a daily technique; it is a great tool to add texture to canvas’s and cards..well; everything! I’m thinking a crackle stencil over a box….hmmm.
