WOYWW #247

Happy WOYWW Everyone! That is short for “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday”, the brilliant blog hop initiated by our lovely hostess, Julia at The Stamping Ground….and you can see all the deets there.

So exciting…I got even more playtime in the craft room this weekend, and I’m a step closer to showing my newest project!  But today is the leftover mess from my practice attempt.  A canvas panel on the side, a brand new jar of Gel Medium….funky stuff!  I’m seeing if those little reusable food containers will keep my diluted gel medium wet for a few days, or not... The cutter has trimmings from my gelli plate printings…and a few more sheets are to the right.  Oh, the yellow one has a cool feather stencil, it didn't
all come out, but it was too cool (IMO) to cut…yes, I do foresee serious gelli print hoarding…

So, there it is…now go stop by Julia’s and hop around the world to other great desks! Happy Crafting everyone.

  1. I think Google needs to instigate a crafting translator because I don't have a clue about most of the products you've talked about!!! You'll have to forgive me but what the heck is Gel medium and what do you use it for and why do you need to keep it wet???! I thought gel was to make your hair stand up on end, lol! At least, that's what I tried to do in my younger punk days but it never worked...my hair was too heavy! Lol :-)

  2. I get you on the gel medium thing...but the gelli plate fad has not hit South Africa...and if it does I am going to give it a wide berth...Have enough on my desk as it is!

  4. There is definitely a little bit of a learning curve to gel medium, but nothing works quite like it. I use plain matte gel and don't dilute it at all, just smooth it out with an old credit card!!
