Welcome to WOYWW…the “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday” blog hop created by Julia at the StampingGround, so hop over there to join the
fun.
First, thank you for all the great tips on holding my
first class. It went really well, and
everyone (Ok, there were only 4…) had so much fun, we’ve created a Monthly
Stamp Club! We need a name; We meet at the Berne Library, but for some reason
the only thing I came up with was Berne Burnishers…totally stupid..so ‘come on…hit
me with some suggestions! (we're also know as the Hilltowns...if that opens things up...)
So, here is my
desk; after putting away all the inks/supplies I carted to class, I thought I
should give another journal page a go.
My new Stencil Girl Stencils had arrived the week before, with the
Corrugated one just itching to be used. First I hit the page with Distress Tea
Dye inks and a brayer. Then I mixed some
Walnut Stain Distress Paint with some Golden Molding paste, to get a cardboardy
look, then spread it through the stencil.
And then I had to wait it had to dry..which is why there are a few
stamps stacked on the left, holding the page open. With luck I’ll finish it tomorrow. I promise
you’ll see the finished page next week! And of course, the inks I was trying
for the page are back out. Yeesh! And there are the Hershey’s Miniatures I
brought to class, actually a few left! (well, not for much longer…probably gone
tomorrow)
Now I’ll try to visit a few desks today. I swear, once we
get broadband up the hill, you’ll wonder when I’ll stop! LOL! In the meantime,
I do what I can. Have a great week
everyone!
That page looks like it's going to be a lot of fun! I can't wait to see it.

Happy WOYWW. Now I know why I mainly do digital crafting. I haven't got the patience to wait for things to dry! Hope you get broadband soon. We got it last year (a community wireless scheme) and my life is so much easier (and fuller!) now. Ali x #43
ReplyDeleteYou are waiting for things to dry!!!! Wow!! I would have thought you would be using the heat gun!!
ReplyDeleteHow about the Hillbilly Stampers? No? Awww!
Hugs Hettie 54 - yes I am playing...why haven't you been over?
xx
I don't have the patience to wait I just hit it with a heat gun, yes sometimes the disasters happen but they can be a bonus too. Love the base of your journal page, make sure you post the finish too and share. Have a wonderful crafting week.
