Hello WOYWW Deskers!
It’s Wednesday, which means its “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday”, a blog
hop hosted by the lovely Julia at The Stamping Ground.
I hope everyone had a great week productive week and can actually
enjoy the last 5 days before Christmas! I had my last concert last night, all the
gifts are shipped, and I decided this morning to screw the cookie baking
marathon—lord knows my hips don’t need them, and if I do feel like making a
batch or two, I can; it’s just no longer on the list.
And now that all the cards have also been mailed (and my
list of who got what designs updated…cause, you know; spreadsheets are my thing) I can get some play time in. And this is the mess I’ve left…waiting for
the paint to dry.
I’m getting around to finishing some of the Wanderlust
Art Journaling Classes projects that really interested me but I just couldn’t get to during the year. This is from one of the
Art Gallery Activities; where we were to study Vincent Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers”,
get your inner feelings from it, and then use it as part of a page. I’m still not sure where this is going; but since I found his painting’s muted colors on
the sad side, and feel sunflower are a happy vibrant flower, there will probably
be much more color going down!
And around the journal; stencils, paints, Nuovo glimmer
mousses, ink sprays, the iPad, my plate that is my palette, and some scrap paper;
all that needs to get put away, filed, etc.
But if I do all that, I won’t have time to craft! And my Muse is in the
House!! There is still about 2 inches
between the journal and the front of the desk---so Craft On!
So here is my desk, now hop back to Julia’s and portal
off to other creative desks around the world.
And even if I don’t get to leave comments, know I do peek on almost
everyone during my wait times for the printer or on hold on the phone...my few
moments for a creative sanity check. And
I hope everyone has a very Happy, Safe Holiday!! Merry Christmas everyone!
oh, spreadsheets.... lol! how very organised. A few years ago I started keeping note of who got what card but gave up long ago... if they get similar another time, I am not worried! Well done on getting everything done. Have a very Happy Christmas Helen #1
ReplyDeleteHa, Kim, your spreadsheets references makes me smile...I can barely make two cards the same so have no problem worrying about sending the same thing to people more than once!! Wonderful that you’ve got time to get back to Wanderlust. Will you do it again next year? Loving the big generous, warm sunflowers....very in character if you ask me. Happy Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, love it ... two inches of space, so craft on! Brilliant. The sunflowers are lovely. I agree, they are definitely a happy flower. Have a lovely Christmas Heather #32
ReplyDeleteThe journal pages look brilliant, love the flowers. Have a good Christmas and a great woyww too, Angela x8x
ReplyDeleteGirl..you need to see my instagram account..I posted my spreadsheet of who got what, people were stunned. But seriously Kim, how do they get by without the spreadsheets?! Love your journal pages..can you fit anything else in that 2inches of space LOL. Missed you. Sorry I've been such a stranger. Claire #26
ReplyDeleteThanks for calling at mine yesterday. It’s good to hear how organised you are.
ReplyDeleteI would like to wish you a very happy Christmas and hope you get lots of rest and pampering before next week.
Hugs,

Hi Kim. I trust that by now that spare two inches has been put to really good use!!! I am just mind blown - you keep a spreadsheet on who receives what card? I think I need to go lie down - Oh my!!
ReplyDeleteHave a really precious Christmas season.
Take care. God bless.

I'm glad your concerts are over and done with! I've got four more carolling sessions to get through and then can relax for a couple of weeks. But the test piece for our next contest in March was handed out a couple of days ago so I have something to practise..oh joy!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Hugs LLJ 6 xxxx
Wow Kim, you are organised if you have spreadsheets! It's nice to see something unrelated to Christmas on a desk LOL. Merry Christmas. Sarah #9
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, your spreadsheets sound invaluable- I have a horrible feeling that some people may have got cards the same/similar to last year, as I made so many last year, and have been using them up this year! But I know I'd be terrible at updating it, lol. Have a lovely Christmas, Love & Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see a sunflower during the UK Winter, lovely painting. Have a Happy Christmas and a Crafty New Year BJ#27
