WOYWW #371

Welcome to WOYWW…the “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday”  blog hop created by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  The Lovely LLJ has been keeping us desker’s going while Julia has been recouping, and I see that Julia is up to taking the reins back starting next week.  So Thank You Jan, for stepping in and keeping us together. You have done a Marvelous job!

First, my desk…actually got to work on my canvas last night!  After giving the first one to my retiring boss, I decided to make one for me…and this one is coming along much quicker!  So here is how I left the desk last night, with the flowers just being glued down.  I’m not sure about the dragonfly..this one has green wings, and I’m not sure the contrast is there; so I may make a new one with the silver wings Bonnie’s had.  Stay tuned!

Also, I had some time while on vacation (not as much as you would imagine!) last week to get in and play.  First up, some birthday and a baby shower cards.  Hubby, Sis-in-Law, and Stepson/wife shower.

And then some time in my journal: Finally got the Gelato’s to drip….thank you Gesso!!  Didn’t have time to work in it last night, now that it’s dry….but can’t wait!!

Ok, now go visit LLJ to see where to portal next.  Have a great week everyone.

  6. Hi Kim, lovely cards. If that was me with the dragonfly, I would build up some dark shadow around the wings which would help the dragonfly to stand out more. Happy crafty woyww, Angela x 23

  7. I rather like the green dragonfly wings actually - can you just use the silver to highlight them? The canvas is really beautiful, I can see why you wanted to make one of your own.
I saw an advert for a craft/fabric/yarn sale stall at Averbury this Saturday, run by the local ladies' group. Fancy going? I'll get the kettle on! Lolol

  9. HI Kim! Great pieces. I like the dragonfly. I think it adds a continuous flow from the flowers in the corner to the center of the spread. Could you maybe add a brush-over of clear wink of stella or glitter glue wash for a bit of iridescent? Look forward to seeing the journal spread progress. Creative Blessings! Kelly #33
