Welcome to WOYWW…the “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday” blog hop created by Julia at the StampingGround, so hop over there to join the
fun.
This week: Still clean! ‘though there was a dicey time,
during an emergency birthday card making frenzy that all the progress of the
prior 2 weeks would be for naught.
So, here is what you see: a clear (definitely not clean)
craft mat…perhaps time for a new one? The curly edges are driving me nuts! The torn, ink-smudged cast-offs of said birthday
card emergency.. some Altoid tins I WILL do something with…ditto the business
card box...some lists on the right of the craft mat; and see the mug? It was something I bought for a gift for a
co-worker…then found something more suitable…isnt’ it festive! It is Lenox,
though, and breakable…so I do have to be a tad careful! And it kept some tea
hot for most of my cardmaking frenzy..a plus in my cold room (yes, I said cold…see
the window…it was -8 last night)
And here is the card.
Another of my “non-resolutions” is to use all my tools, which includes
the 4 Sizzix pop and cut inserts I have;
the possibilities are fascinating; but for some reason I am finding coming up
with pleasing designs on/in them is just not happening…
So, while I finally figured out the inside mechanics, the
cover is a tad boring; but time; which is a great muse-threaten-er anyway, was against me.
Oh, also, last week you saw the items ready for me to
delve into my 19th Compendium of Curiosities challenge. So here it
that panel. I admit, I kinda like it—not enough to get a sewing machine...or
needle and thread for that matter...but still.
Right, so there it is; now go see Julia and portal to
other wonderful desks around the world. Have a wonderful week everyone.
What a fun pop up card!! I have several of those myself, and sadly, I haven't used them yet. I think if I lost my internet connection (OH NO!!!), I would be completely content with what I have, and wouldn't want anything else....but alas...
ReplyDeleteHappy Crafting!

I like the sentiment stamp on the front of your cover. As for the pop n cuts. Look on Pinterest for some ideas. I waste lots of time getting ideas there...#39
ReplyDeleteOMG I love the pop-up card it is gorgeous Kim, I LOL, as we are right next to each other this week! I love your panel too - what happens to it now? I am unfamiliar with these panels! Cx #69

Youre so good..make a resoultion and come good on it! The pop up is lovely, I really like the text you've used there, what fun. Splash out ona new craft mat or a non stick oven liner - they're heavier and less curly and do as good a job in MO.I wouldn't get the machine out too - hell, I've got stamps for stitching. If that makes sense!
ReplyDeleteI live the 'one more candle' card!! That made me laugh a lot. I think you should treat yourself to a new mat though :-). Go on, you know you want to!!

ReplyDeleteLovely projects and like you there are always alterable possibilities on my desk. 78
ReplyDeleteHave you thought of just turning the mat over so it curls downwards?
ReplyDeleteGreat card. I never invested in the dies as I can do them on my silhouette, not that I do it much! cough Cough!
Hugs

First off, the cover is not boring. I love it. But yeah, the inside puts it over the top fabulous! Go you! Congrats on your 19th Compendium project. Great piece. Creative Blessings! Kelly #69
