WOYWW #267

Welcome to another “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday” (WOYWW), the brilliant blog hop initiated by our lovely hostess, Julia at TheStamping Ground….and you can see all the deets there.

Yes, I had a nice long 5 day weekend….yes I got in the craft room…and apparently my Muse was also on vacation…aside from my panel for the Compendium Challenge (which you can see here), I just kept moving things around.   So what you see: some stamps I was toying with using, some Tim Holtz findings I have to put away, once I straighten up my TH space to fit them back in, some glue sticks I had to buy since I can’t seem to find the last package I bought (but know I haven’t opened), the panel I finished, and a stamp set and 2 new Spellbinder dies I purchased at the only remaining LLS in E. Greenbush, with a gift certificate I got at Christmas.

Oh, and see that paper hanging over the top edge? Yes, I got that there too…It’s a finely woven wicker on a paper backing…I thought it said $2.99; Cool: will make a great layering pieces…couldn't figure why I had to add money as my GC didn't cover the purchases…got home to look at the receipt: That sheet of paper is $10.99!!!!! It will now become the background of all my photos!!!! No die machine will be going anywhere near it! LOL!

OK; I've shown you mine! Now stop at Julia’s to hop around workdesks around the world! Happy Crafting everyone!

  3. Oh I understand that...when you have all the time in the world to craft, every idea flees! And yet, when I'm under pressure, I can churn them out, Daft, eh?
I bet you had heart failure when you saw what you'd paid for that paper!! Still, enjoy it and use it wisely (gawd, I sound like Obi Wan Kenobi....)

  4. How rude of your muse to bugger off like that. As for that paper at that price! SHOCKED! I think I would die if I found that out when I got home, having been so frugal on everything else! #27

  6. Hi Kim,

Don't you hate when you think the price is one thing then you look at the receipt and find a huge surprise!! I've done that with things that says they are on sale but then I find that I didn't get the sale price. Since I get all my art supplies in Santa Fe, which is a 35-40 minute drive away I just bite the bullet.

The cow is a photo I took and plan to make cards from him. I'm hoping to sell some of my photo cards on etsy. I've had a store for years but haven't had anything in it for years...... haaaa

Thank you for visiting me already!
    Happy WOYWW
    Peace, Kay (22)

  7. I hate it when I think something is one price and it ends up being much more. I hope your muse comes back soon. Maybe your muse and my mojo are off running around together. lol

  9. Ouch! A bit of a difference in price there, Kim. A shock to the system. Sorry your inspiration is away on holiday - trust it gets back to you soon!
    Take care. God bless.
