WOYWW #257

Happy WOYWW Everyone! That is short for “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday”, the brilliant blog hop initiated by our lovely hostess, Julia at The Stamping Ground….and you can see all the deets there.

No, I do not blame Tim Holtz for creating such wonderful tools for our hobby.  I do not blame my fellow bloggers for having challenges that steer you in the direction of using these new tools and goodies.  I do not even blame my hobby stores with their 40% sales and coupons.

No…the blame entirely lies at the feet of my mechanic; He is the reason I went to Michael’s…the one in Latham, much nicer than the one in Colonie, and spent close to $90 when I was only looking for buttons for the ATC’s for the anniversary (and you guessed it:, my ATC’s will be button-less)…because for the first time in close to 12 years, my scheduled oil change was just that: a $19.95 oil change.  No brakes; no new tires; no strange muffler part…just 4 quarts of oil and a filter.  AND it took only ½ hour, so in my dazed state I wondered up to the better Michael s, and ran amok.  3 new DI paints, some stencils, some trinket bits and brads, the small bird die, and more than a few other TH Ideology items, Oh, and the Wallflower paper stash! WooT!  Also, what you don’t see, 2 wall pegboards that I have to mount, to further my, ahhmmm, organizational skills! (and because I can: I can even justify it all because it still cost less than I had anticipated for the car! But, yes, it was still smuggled upstairs before DH came home: justification can only go so far! LOL!)

So, there it is…now go stop by Julia’s and hop around the world to other great desks! Happy Crafting everyone.

  1. Oh you make me laugh...the smuggling! I get to be open about my purchases as they are in the name of teaching...how else could I explain away an entire wall of organised stash? I need the birdy die now too...borrowed a friends one once and I have used all my cuts up...now to hunt the die down! #28

  2. Oh yes, I am fully aware of the (fill in the name of the hobby store of your choice) Syndrome. And if you go with a friend, it's even WORSE, you buy MORE stuff . . .

But heaven forbid anyone ever try and tell us we have too much stuff. Because really, we love our toys!!!!!

Have fun with your new stash of yummies!
    Happy woyww to you!
