WOYWW #133: Crazy-Scary!

Good morning WOYWWers! And it is...for a change. I got all my cards finished Sunday, (can be seen on my previous post-shameless plug) mailed out Monday, finished my last of the shopping this morning (I love stores that are open before 7:00am! and last night I went into my "space:" to dig out some hidden gifts, and then spent about an hour "tidying up" from the card wreckage. And lookey!! I have a desk! And FYI: the table to my right is all clean too!

Ok, I'll show you my shame: the floor in front of the desk...but I'll get to that after Christmas! Promise! (or Dakota will chew the stamps!) Hey, I said I only had an hour!

But now..I do have a problem: At what point do you realize a "scrap" of paper is no longer a scrap, but trash? I think I'm going to go with, once you can no longer cut a piece from my smallest die, and then will attack my scrap folder and lose about 2 inches, which will then get it to fit back into my nice plastic scrap holder! But I am open to suggestions! LOL! (Any reason to save...well, anything!)

So, incase you haven't been to Julia''s Stamping Ground first, and need to see what WOYWW is all about..head there, and then head to the other wonderful desks! And I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

  1. Your desk looks oh so lonely! hee hee Hmm, I had the same problem recently: what exactly is a scrap and what is trash? My recent project I used small little pieces of paper, I mean, SMALL. I think I'll be saving little bits and pieces for a while. If I don't use them after so long then maybe they'll go in the trash.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  2. Don't you just love a tidy desk. I keep my scraps until I can't bear them any longer and then they get binned.

  3. Ohmygosh! That is one tidy desk. I did laugh at your pile of stamps in front of the desk though.... that's the way to clean off the desk, right, put it all on the floor!

I keep scraps of paper in plastic containers sorted by color. It depends on the color... since I stamp on white I toss the smaller pieces but the others I keep sizes that one could punch from. But once a particular container gets too full I'll purge out the smaller pieces into the trash, or to a friend who does punch art flowers.

  4. Way to go with the clear desk - you were very honest to show us the floor as well!! Life is too short to keep every snippet of paper, be brave, bin those scraps :)
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas season - have fun!

  5. OOO! Can I have a rummage through those stamps?
As for scraps, when I cannot punch circles to make lollipop flowers that is when I bin them! i.e. minute!!
Drinking homemade mead and had a toast to you Kim!! Mmmmmn!!

  8. What a clean desk, I have a few scraps, but bin a lot otherwise they take over, it's painful at first but then becomes easier to part with them XXXX good luck, Merry Christmas, Hugs May x x x
