Here it is; the first Wednesday of the New Year! And another year of opening our doors to
others to peek at our work desks, thanks to Julia at the Stamping Ground.
I’ll admit, I had been looking forward to a quiet New Years
Day to play with my new seasonal Distress Stains, (thank you SIL Robin!) and
put some of the Christmas supplies away, and generally tidy up. But, 2012 ended
poorly for us, with my Mother being hospitalized the weekend before Christmas,
and again on Sunday and both my husband I having the cold going around, with a bit of the
stomach bug thrown in for good measure. So
I spent yesterday stopping at Mom’s apartment to pick up some things she
wanted, then spent some time visiting her.
By the time we got home, I pretty much just worked on my Challenge piece
for Linda’s Studio L3, which you can see here, then called it a night. So, what you see, those marvelous stains on the left, with some of my new Dylusion sprays behind. Under the Ink Palette are my Tim Holtz Christmas Stamps I want to play with before I put them away. And I will be keeping my Christmas Supplies much closer, with the hopes of making a least a few cards a month. The Pillow box on top of the ink pad unglued itself, so I’m using glue and seal now, and letting it dry. On the far right corner are all my Christmas Sayings stamps, which need to get put away as well. Actually, looking at the picture, the desk really doesn’t look that bad, and I can say, the right- side desk has a clear spot as well. And I can still walk to the chair, so maybe 2013 is starting off pretty well after all.
I hope you all had a very Happy New Year’s day, and that
2013 is an amazing year for everyone! See you next week.
Happy New Year to you, hope you and yours are feeling better. a desk all ready for action. Francesca #50

I think everyone has been hit by one or both of those bugs over Christmas. Our long awaited get together with both children and their families was submarined by two of them getting the Norovirus. Christmas has been rescheduled for later this month. I hope your Mum is now recovering from her hospital trips, and you and your husband can get back to full fitness. Have a Happy New Year. xx Maggie #45
ReplyDeleteYour desk is looking very nice. I hope your family recovers from their ailments quickly so you can use those great new distress stains.
