This week, we are on page 41, Rusted Enamel. And let me just say...how very cool! Never would have thought of this in a million years!! Now, my first piece (above) had a much more rusted look. Not sure why, as I really like it.
The pieces I tried last night only had the bearest amount of "rusting". But, it does look very "leathery" . This card is for my Step-son's birthday. I used the sage DI, which came out very green (I found it doesn't work so well on regula

The background is from the "Vintage" pack from Core'dinations paper. I love this stuff; sanded and frayed; I can't wait for the new Adirondack and and Distress matching colors to become available! Well, best get back to work! I hope everyone has a great crafty weekend!
Love both your projects Kim and the rusted enamel is fab. Annette x
ReplyDeleteThey are both super pieces, love your stamp of the wolf head.
ReplyDeleteI also love both of your pieces. It is interesting how different papers can result in different colors from the same ink pad. I am jealous of all the 'rusting' you achieved on your tag!! Really striking.
ReplyDeleteKim, this is awesome! You really created an amazingly rusted look, and it's absolutely gorgeous! Great colors, fab stamping, and the bright text is such a perfect contrast to the deep tones on the background.
ReplyDeleteThe wolf card is spectacular, too! It really does look like leather, and is so perfect for a guy. The feathers are a beautiful addition.
BTW, details on our new challenges will be leaked very soon. :-)
Super tag, love the sentiment in white!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Kim, both your projects look fabulous.

Kim who are you kidding! Even if Dakota was sin ugly, she still would be plucking feathers! BTW, Molly is only patient while I am actually with hands on food! Prior to that, she was barking and yelling at me to move my butt into the kitchen! Love your challenge pieces, both are so cool!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are great! Love the tag and the green card, it is really a simple but fabulous technique.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, kim, thanks for sharing them. There is a little surprise for you over on my blog, thank you for visiting me & following xxx Shaz
